Many of us may not believe that popcorn, apart from its nutritious values, has medicinal attributes as well. Hot, well seasoned salty popcorn is savoured by everybody especially by children. Popcorn is very popular as a snack, as a fast food that everybody can enjoy walking at the mall, having fun at picnic and playgrounds and parks, doing shopping, or while sitting and gossiping in the drawing room. But still many people are caught unaware that what they are eating popcorn has many a nutritious benefits. Apart from being a balanced, tasty and healthful diet, popcorn has a fairly large amount of calories, minerals, protein and vitamins.

Two servings of popcorn in a week can benefit a lot for your gastrointestinal tract. Popcorn is good for cleaning teeth and thus is instrumental in keeping healthy teeth especially for children while they are at school. Advise them to eat some popcorn after eating candies or taking juices etc as it will help them clean their teeth instantly. Popcorn also builds bones, tissues, muscles and is also good for digestion.

How to cook popcorn at home?

Popcorn is available in raw form packed in packets in big grocery stores. You may buy some and keep them handy for your future need. The packet itself contains instructions as to how to cook it. All you have to do is to unfold a couple of its folds and put it in the Microwave Oven for about four to five minutes. After that open the oven and eat it yourself and serve to your guests.
